here is a 158 grain xtp launched into 4 milk jugs at 1050 fps.

Here is a 158 grain xtp that penetrated into 4 milk jugs. Velocity from a snub was around 1050. Expansion is .55 inches and retained weight it 154 grains. To be honest I believe that this bullet is the most accurate .357 diameter bullet that I have tried. Several groups from a 6 inch 586 have run under 2 inches at 50 yards. One group fired with 2400 out of Winchester nickel cases went under and inch.

Since 2400 is pretty much a unicorn around here I bought some Ramshot Enforcer which is just one notch slower burning according to my burn rate chart. With 14 grains of powder and the 158 grain Hornady XTP, it shoots great out of the 7.5" barrel of my new Bisley Blackhawk.
