Well after helping my buddy get his turkey in the morning, I headed to the range in the afternoon for some shooting.

.243 with 70 B-tips/47.0gr IMR4350/PPU brass/win lr primer
2.250 ogive-.259"
2.240 ogive-1.953
2.230 ogive-1.600

I think I will try that 2.250" load again to check it. Last time it was .975". If it goes sub 1" again, I will call it good.

30.-06 with 165 Partitions and IMR4350/RP brass/Fed 210 primer
57.0gr-3.602"
57.5gr-2.599"
58.0gr-2.071"

I have tried the 165 Partition with H4350 and IMR4350 and so far the results are about 2" 2.5" average. I think it is time to try a new bullet. I shoot the 180 AccuBond in my other 30-06 but I don't know if I want to use the same bullet in both rifles and have different loads for each. I would hate to mix them up on mistake and hunt with the wrong ammo. Any suggestion on what bullet to try in the 30-06 other than the AccuBond or 165 Partition?

6mmBR with Nosler 105gr Custom Comp and Varget
This was the first time ever for me shooting at 300 yards with any rifle. I shot a few shots to get zeroed in and then shot 3-5 shot groups.
Group 1-1.315
Group 2-2.617 with 3 touching and 2 out from the group. One was 1.475" low and one 2.348" left
Group 3-1.598

I was very happy with results. My goal was 1MOA and I stayed under that. Now to keep practicing and getting better.

444 with H4198/265 Hornady FP/R-P brass/Win lr primer/2.588COAL/5/8 crimp with Lee die
Shot at 50 yards
46.0gr-1.246" 2 in same hole 1 out
46.5gr-.836"
47.0gr-.564"

I don't really know what to do at this point with the 444. Do I change anything or not, also, do I take it out to 100 yards to see what is happening?

It was a very nice day outside and I was happy to enjoy it. Now to hit the bench and make some more rounds for next time.

Appears to have been quite a successful day. Your 6 BR is doing what it should do at 300 yards. I would definitely check the 444 at 100 yards, if only to assure myself that there will be no surprises should a shot at that range be necessitated.

MY 06 did not care for 165's and IMR4350 either which for most 06's that is a staple load..

My 06 does like 165 partitions or Hornady interlock with IMR4064 and WLR primers.

What is the load with the 444 and what is velocity?

444
47.0 grains of H4198
265 Hornady FP
R-P brass
Win lr primer
2.588COAL
5/8 turn on Lee crimp die after it touches shell holder

I don't know the speed. I hope that the next time I shoot, I will be able to remember the battery for the chronograph.

Both loads are looking pretty good. Congratulations. I would zero the 444 at 100 yards and see if the group holds at that distance.

I do have to make an order to SPS and I see they have 180 B-Tips and 180 Partitions in stock. Which one would you try? The rifle will be used for deer hunting in the woods so shots will be from 10-100 yards 95% of the time. Also, there maybe times where shots could be hard quartering to or away.

WT - I'm really impressed with your 47 gr load in the .444, and looking forward to seeing what it does at 100 yds. Appears you've got a good combo for that rifle. If accuracy holds up at 100 yds, I'd leave that 47 grain load alone, and go hunt.

With the .30-06, by all means try a boat-tail bullet. It didn't like the Partition, shame, but perhaps it will like the Ballistic Tip or AccuBond... Don't fear the Ballistic Tip, it works near or far at .30-06 velocity.

I would try the 165 grain Sierra Gameking or 180 grain Hornady SP or BTSP.

Those have shot very well in my .30-06.

The Ballistic Tips will serve you well in the deer woods. It is more than enough bullet to drop any deer.

In my old 06, I had to switch around powders with Noslers and Barnes. Each liked a different one. You could try R19 or R22. R22 worked for me with any of the Noslers but 165/168 Barnes liked R19

Take a look at IMR4895 with the 70 gr BT in the 243 Win.
The 165 gr or 180 gr BT would be top bullet pics for your 30-06.

Those 180 BTs will absolutely work well in your 06. I'd not hesitate to take elk with that bullet in your rifle.

Give that 444 a shot at 100 or even 200 yards. It might surprise you Matt. I really enjoy shooting the lever guns at distance.
