So my favorite bullet for 416 bullets maker is no longer in service. Gerard Schultz the owner of GS custom bullets in South Africa has retired. Unfortunately I only have a few of his HV 330 grain 416 bullets left. This led me to a new quest for a possible high ballistic coefficient 416 bullet and I think I found one in The Cutting Edge 325 grain Maximus. Their estimated BC is supposed to be 0.558 which I don't quite believe. Anyway I ordered 50 and the results are pictured below. Now under regular circumstances no one would describe the 416 Weatherby as a long range cartridge, but for the past 20 years on and off I have been killing game at longer ranges with it. Same with my 378, but that is another story. Those who know me know that I'm not right in the head when it comes to that aspect. LOL anyway I thought I'd share my results. This was with reloder 16. A couple of more grains opened up the group and only gave me 25 ft per second per grain so it was not worth it. I will try reloder 26 in the 125 gr range and see what happens this weekend if I get a chance. The picture of me and my young boy was in 2005 I believe and that though fell to a 330 GS custom at 452 yards. My rifle is a Mark V classic Mark II .

Very nice!
I think that you definitely used "enough gun"!:devilish:
I still want to shoot like you when I grow up! 😎

It is amazing how accurate the 416s can be; my Taylor will put 3, 350 gr TSXs into 0.400" @ 100 yards at 2415 fps with 69.0 gr of Re-15. 3 more grains should get me to 2503 fps and 4870 ft lbs (338 ft lbs more energy)...but with this accuracy and a SD of 9, I'm not sure I'll push it.

Those big bullets at mild velocity just seem stable. Not fussy.
My .416 REM lays the factory loads I’ve tried in tight also.
Standard m70.

I got word that WBY shipped my 25 RPM so this weekend will be the 25 RPM (if I get the bases in time from Midway) and RL 26 with the 325 Maximus. According to Quickload they should break 3100 fps. We will see.
