Finally got all the pieces and parts for the Weatherbys and put them together.
The 416 is new and the 300 used but they both have nice wood. I tried to go to the range today but so did everyone else so I came back and loaded. I'm trying the new 350 gr. Barnes tipped tripple shock in the 416. I'll post results in a day or so when I can get range time. The 416 Rem is still in the shop getting re barreled.View attachment weatherbys 001.JPGView attachment 1

That's some serious horsepower you have there. It'll be interesting to see the range results.

Yeah baby!

Makes a good pair with my 416 and 378 Bees.

Greg,

Very awesome pair of rifles Greg! Hope they shoot half as good as they look! Scotty

For that 300 Bee make a date with 200 AB and imr 7828 or RL 25.....

No Africa trip planned but I've always wanted a Mk V.
Pop that LazerMark is awsome. We need to get together and try em all ou8t. The 270 Weatherby Mk V will be here in about a week.
The range was full again today but I took tomorrow off just for this reason so I will have a report on the 416 at least.

I just saw a used 270WBY MK5 in Gander Mtn for 700.00. With Conetrol mounts and a WBY scope. Very nice rifle, and looks to be in very great condition. Never owned a MK5 but I respect them and they are very slick rifles. Scotty

I had a thought or two about bringing it home, but with a 270WSM in the safe, the WBY doesn't bring anything extra to the table. Scotty
