My Marlin 444 SS never ceases to amaze me.. no matter what load bullet combo I stuff in its chamber, this is normally the results. Not always.. but more often that not..
Stacked on top of 43 gr H4198, Rem brass, CCI 200 primers. Vel average around 2080..

It seems that all 444 Marlins are "shooters", which is why I originally wanted to get one. There are less 444's out there than its big brother, the 1895.
I believe rhe OP said he was using H4198 as his powder.
That powder works extremely well in the 45-70 version with all bullet range weights, too.
