Can anybody help we with some load data. I have Accurate 1680 that I'd like to use and some 5744. I found a box of 300 grain Nosler Partition golds and would like to make a load from these components. Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks!

All I ever used in my 454 Casull was 296 and H110 with the 300gr bullet but I sold that wrist braker and hand number in 2005 :mrgreen:

I haven't used 1680, so no help there,but think it's starting load is around 28 grains iirc (I would have that confirmed). I have used the 5744, for reduced cast loads. Someone once told me it's called "flamable dirt". I came to see his point and why. It shoots well however. I pretty much stay with H-110 or 2400. And if I had choose one, it would be the 2400, as I don't need absolute high end velocity loads. But in part I use the 2400 in other's, so it would keep 1 powder over 2.

I used 26 gr of AA #9 with the 300 XTP for 1350 fps

Also 30 gr of H110 or W296 will get you close to 1700 fps with the same bullet.

Thanks guys, the 1680 is all I got. I'm waiting for the other powder to become available but who knows when that will happen. I'd like some 4227 also.
