What distance are these bullets good for? I have a Savage 11 with a McGowen varmint barrel with a 1:12 twist, and a 5-15x40 bushnell scope.

Out of what caliber??

I've used them out to 600 yards from a 220 swift on coyotes and squirrels. They are starting to fiz out by then, but I'd say you could still get out to 700 or so pretty consistently and still kill reliably.

Out of my .222 rem, there only good out to around 450 at the max.

They are a good bullet overall IMO. Good groups and good performance for me from 2 different velocity spectrums .222rem/220 swift. Always exit coyotes with about a 1-2" hole and still gives them squirrels a ride!!

Welcome to the forum.

What caliber and velocity are you shooting?

Welcome to the forum. I have used them out of my 243 at close to 4000 fps with H414 or Win 760. Basically it mirrored Remmy's 25-06 findings with his swift....more or less.

Thank You fellas for the info.... I shot a coyote with a 70 grain Ballistic
tip, a little under a hundred yards, blew his belly out :( , I was hoping to save hid hide. Will theses bullets perform at extended ranges?

The 70 gr 243 cal with a .310 BC will outperform the 55 gr .276 BC. I have used the 70 gr in a 243 Win to shoot wood chucks at the 400 yd mark with no problems.
