6.5 creedmoor 140 Nosler Partition

I bought a savage long range hunter in 6.5 creedmoor and want to load the 140 nosler Partition for a moose hunt I have coming up this fall. Can anyone give some data on were to start? Would like to settle somewhere between 2700-2800 fps
 
You can download the Ramshot reloading guide, or access Hodgdon, IMR, and Winchester propellants via the Hodgdon website, via their Reloading Data.

From the Ramshot guide, sounds like Hunter might work for you. Ramshot recommends a starting load of 40.8 grains, getting bullets out of their test barrel to 2501 fps. Their max load is 45.3 grains, which got bullets they tested to 2779 fps.

Ramshot Big Game resulted in a bit slower velocities from their test data. That sounds right to me, as heavier bullets with longer bearing surfaces usually benefit from slower powders. Ramshot Hunter is slower than Ramshot Big Game.

I don't load for a Creedmoor, but Ramshot Hunter has been kind to me. Easy metering, cleaner burning than some other powders. Also supposedly as temperature insensitive as any other good powder.

I would also recommend Nosler's reloading manual. It's the best I've found. I don't know if the Creedmoor appears, however.

Since I have a 6.5 Creedmoor I should say something.
H4831sc and VVN165 have worked well for me with 140 A-Max.
Should also be good for the Partition
I worked up to 47gr VVN165 and 46gr H4831sc
The VVN165 gave me higher velocities and lower es but both did well for the heavy bullet
 
I'm at 45.0 grains of Hunter in my Creedmoor with the 140 grain Custom Competition. I'm holding 1/2 MOA out to 500 yards now, even with a little wind. I'm very happy with it.

IDH, this is just with my 264WM, but the 140 AB's took a little more powder to reach the same speeds as the 140 PT in my rifle. Kind of surprised me as the AB's have to have a longer bearing surface, at least they look it.. Either way, I would run with the same data and work up slow.. Should be a sweet load!
