I will be hunting whitetails with my 6.8 spc G2 in both 14" and 23" capacities. I want to use the 110 grain Nosler AccuBond when it comes out, but for arguments sake, if I had to use the 100 grain Hornady spire points I have now, would they be a satisfactory choice? Muzzle velocity for the 14" tube is about 2550 fps, and the rifle hopefully will brake 2700fps.

In most states it's illegal to hunt with a rifle if the barrel is less then 16". You may wish to check with your game and fish before working up a hunting load for your little shorty.

I did not clarify that very well...The G2 I own is a pistol frame. I can legally install a rifle barrel and stock on that frame. I will also hunt with it as a pistol with the 14" barrel. I have both stock sets and barrels in the 6.8 spc.
