I like to read and learn about different rounds. I have been reading about the 6mmBR and it looks cool. Please tell me about the 6mmBR. Rifles/bullets/powders/brass/use/reloading tips

What guy said plus you can run them in a shorter barrel as well and still maintain great velocity. I owned one a couple of years ago and really liked it for shooting prairie dogs, low recoil good velocity "2950 with a 105 is common" and extremely accurate. I have had my hopes of a win dashed a couple of times at 600 yards in f class by the smallish 6BR. brass? Lapua and Norma both make brass for it or you can take your chances on Remington. if your planning on shooting the heavies at near max I would suggest the lapua brass. powder? I used h322 in mine with the lighter bullets and varget works well with the heavier stuff.. . if if I were to build one I would go with a 1-8 twist and shoot the the heavier higher bc bullets to exploit its true potential.

usmc89 said what I think makes the 6mmBR so cool - IT IS EXTREMELY ACCURATE and does it shot after shot, very, very consistent indeed. Also, for shorter ranges but extremely accurate is the 30BR.

I've been shooting a 6mm br for about three years in 600 yard bench rest and f class its hard to beat the consistency of the little 6br. So far RL 15 for the 105s and varget for the varmint weight bullets is what works for me all from a 1/8 twist barrel I've shot rocks out to 1100 yards so you can stretch it out and all of this from only 30 grains of powder. I think everybody needs give the 6mm br a try.

My rifle is a savage M12 started as a 22-250 then bought a shilen pre chambered and threaded 6mm br barrel and a bell and Carlson varmint/tactical medalist stock topped it off with a sightron SII big sky 6x24 and so far its a dang good shooter and hopefully I can figure the wind stuff out a little better so I can get into shoot off maybe this Saturday could be my lucky day.
