7-28 300 RUM results with a bonus

Bill, when do you go out for the reshoot?

I think Brian should have some good notes on his Model 70 here shortly. Seems you two are running about the same load.. Can't wait to get a couple licks from his rifle..

Scotty I have been waiting for the weather to be right. My range faces East so on clear sunny days early cool morning shooting is bad because you are looking directly into the sun as it comes up over the hills. If I wait till 11:00 or so when I'm not looking directly into the sun temps have been up to where I don't like to shoot.

I will post a picture of the reshoot just as soon as I get it completed. You'll like the 300 RUM and if ya get any licks from his gun besure to post picts. :p :p :p

Will do Bill. It can't be too bad, he says my 35 Whelen recoils more than his 300 so I guess we shall see. Pretty excited to see what it does out at the longer ranges. That is where these rifles really make me smile.

It's not bad at all, not what one might think anyways. I hold it at the bench by the grip only and don't get touched by the scope.

It should indeed shine at longer ranges. Lets us know how it does.
