Got out to the range this morning and was able to fire my RL26 pressure/velocity/ladder test at 300 yards from a trued 700/A5/28" heavy Bartlein 9 twist/8.5-25x MK4. It has a lot better vertical to it than H1000 did, but I'm not sure it's the magic powder for my rifle. I topped out at 73g and heavy ejector mark's at 3137fps. The node looks to be anywhere from 69.5-71...what do you guys think?

If it was me I would load up some more at 71.5 R26 and 72 H1000 and group them.

Have you tried IMR 7828 or Retumbo?

I dunno, I think 71.5 RL26 is going to be on the outside edge of the node. If you look at 72 and 72.5, that's not very good...I believe the node is between 69.5-71. Definitely going to try the 72g H1000. I have not tried 7828 or Retumbo. I have about 15# of H1000, couple pounds of Retumbo, and just under a pound of RL26. H1000 is the powder for a 7-300 win mag, so I've been stocking up on it as I find it over the years. If anything, I may do another ladder with Retumbo, but I doubt it will do anything H1000 wont...

I think you should check the 69.5-71 and load right in between there and see what shakes out with 26. Speed looks about the same as H1000, and both are well within a great speed for that big bullet Jorey.

Looking at your speeds, 70-71 looks really the sweet part of your node. I'd probably load a 70.5 and see what it does on paper. I am betting it'll do real nice. Please post up those targets, it'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
