I just got a stainless T3 in 7mm Rem Mag. I have a bunch of 150 E-Tips I'd like to push fast. Anyone have a pet load using MagPro or Retumbo?

Thanks,

P

I'm surprised the max load is so much lower than the other 150 grain bullets. I guess that's what you get with the monometals.

New info:

I'm kissing the lands at 3.408", max mag length is 3.366", so I'm off the lands 0.042."

Nosler recommends a jump for these bullets I believe.

I'd be interested in what you end up with. I have a few of those 150 ET's as well.

Looks like Magpro is pretty decent with them.

Well, the T3 didn't like the seating depth much. It didn't like the 150 NABLR at the same COAL, either.

Recoil was surprisingly mild. I'm going to run a depth test starting at max mag length, 3.366, which still gives me 0.040" jump, and seat deeper in 0.030" increments.

My brother has a T3 that likes the 168 NABLR seated long, so I'm going to try that as well.

On a positive note, my Ruger American shot lights out with Varget and 140 NAB. Well under an inch. It likes 140 NAB and RL 17, too. The Varget load came in at 2777 ft/sec. but I didn't chrono the RL 17.

Id drop back to .1" off the rifling for the ET. Just to see what happens. Most have found luck right in that area.

That's where I started. 0.1" off. Mag length constricts me to .040" to start, so I can start closer.
