7mm-08 Bullet Seating Die in 280 Rem Die Set?

I purchased a Lee Pacesetter 3 die set from MidwayUSA for 280 rem (7mm Exp) Everything looks good, but the bullet seating die is stamped 7mm-08. Is this one of those situations where one seating die will work with either cartridge? I've had an email into Lee since last Friday (6/3) but no answer yet, normally they are very fast to respond.

You have the wrong seating die for your .280. I'm certain that if Midway is notified of the mix up, they will rectify the situation.

Thank you. Yes, Midway is willing to replace it, if I will pay the return shipping to send it back.. According to their item return form anyway. I plan on calling them to speak to a customer service rep. In the few times I've had an issue, They have been great to deal with and usually take care of things quickly.

You could use it but it is the wrong die.

I've got some different Hornady die sets and I know in 30 caliber the seater die is Universal. So is my RCBS 308 competition seater die it'll work all the way up to a 300 rum.

Before I had a chance to contact Midway for a return form, Lee Precision stepped up to the plate and sent me an email stating that they shipped out the correct bullet seating die today. And for me to keep the 7mm-08 die.
