I plan to start loading for my 7mm mag its is a 700 bdl with a 24" barrel throw me a few go to loads to try out to get me started with the price of the 2nds I cant see any reason not to find a load for them

I have 7828 RL25 imr 4831 aa 3100 but could get more I am trying to track down some retumbo right now

Work up to 67 gr 7828 or close to 68 gr of RL25. Drop down and work up. You should get 3000 fps easy. YMMV.

Retumbo would be better with the 175 grainer in my opinion. That is what I use with heavy bullets in my 300 rum. What works great in my 7mm Rem Mag is RL22 with 160 Partition/AccuBond and IMR4350 with 140 Ballistic Tip/Accubonds. RL22 should not dissapoint, so that is my recommendation.

RL-22 has always been the go to powder for my 7 mag. I've not even needed to experiment with other powders from bullets weighing from 140g-180g. Shoots everything awesome from a 700 bdl custom deluxe, 1/2"-3/4" at 100 yards is the norm.

My accurate load for the 160g AB is a bit on the slow side though with RL-22 which I'm not to happy about, but not much I can do but try a different powder. 61g will give me 2850-2900fps and 1/4"-1/2" 3 shot groups at 100 yards using win cases and Fed 215 primers, seated .005" off the lands. Bumping up the charge only increases group size with this particular combo. Nearing 3000fps is close to max and group size is upwards of 1.5" I've noticed it with the 162g amax as well. The accuracy load is the same at 61g for 2850-2900fps. If I push it any faster, it opens up. I think with my rifle, it just dont like 160's at the upper end. There was 1 exception and that was the 160g Speer BT. It liked 65.5g at 3025fps. It was a WARM load but shot very well, 1/2" at 100.

Every other bullet I've tried though (bout 7-8 of them), RL-22 performs great at the top end gving good velocity, just cant get it with the 160g AB so I wont use it for LR hunting.

H1000 or Retumbo might be worth looking into.

+1 for RL 22 in the 7mm Rem Mag with 140-160 gr bullets.

Same here. Run the Reloader 22 with the 160's for a good accurate load at about 3000 fps. Anywhere from 2950 up is acceptable to me.

RL-22 is a bit temperature sensitive. If that's a big problem for you, consider H4831 as an alternative.

Retumbo is good, but best with the heavy 175 grain bullets. By the way, the 175 gr Nosler Partition is one heck of an elk bullet. On elk and mule deer, it's hard to beat the 160 grain bullets and their greater velocity.

I even tried US869 in my brother-in-law's 7mm mag (Ruger #1) using the 160 NP. Shot very well. No problem making 1" at 100 yd. at around 2990 ft./sec.
