7mm Rem Mag Norma MRP 150 Swift

Well, I am continuing to work this one. I went 3.255 and 3.280" for these. Seems like something around 3.280 is showing some more promise. Might try to go .010" either side of those and see what pops out.

This bullet is really cooking in my 7mm Rem Mag. MRP seems very impressive in this cartridge, just the same as RL22 I guess... Hoping I can get this to shape up some.

The longer OAL does appear to hold some promise. Fine riflery, Scotty.

Scotty I can't believe you missed that quarter 5 times. Other than that and the flier I would be satisfied also.

That's really funny...... honestly you guys really crack me up!

I use 73grain MRP to a 150grain Nosler Par in my .270WB. That gives me aprox 3280 ft/sec from a 27" barrel. I have never been able to obtain good accuracy by setting the bullet 1000th of an inch from the lands(85mm). My best accuracy is when keeping close to the original OAL(83mm) and let the bullet "jump" the freebore.
Since the 7mmRem and .270WB share just about same casevolume I would expect the 7mmRem ought to hit the 3200 ft/sec mark with "no problemo"..

Thanks buddy. I was hoping you would chime in. I would post my speeds but I'm too chicken. It is flying though, right along with what your getting from your Weatherby. I need a cool morning and no sunlight and I will rechrono it but it's fast. I'm not getting a single hiccup out of the rifle or brass but it still has me wondering. If I can nail down the accuracy it'll be a screamer. I'm over a .1" off right now and probably just need a calm day to see if it'll hold on.
