Interesting! How close does it come to real life?

I have had the program since 2012 and am still learning it. It has the ability to take chronographed loads from your individual rifle, along with the actual burn speed of your lot of powder and give very accurate information. Using the "stock" data that it spits out is misleading and it took me awhile and some tutoring by the smarter folks around here, but if you actually use your data and feed it back into the program, it'll get pretty close. It doesn't replace a chrono or personal observations of a "weird chamber", but it will get it real close with a minutes worth of work.

I still haven't figured out how to get the MSM in there to use QL for load work, but then again, I have been able to cheat riding off of the backs of those who did it long before me.

It's a negligible influence on the estimates, although the polygonal rifling has a good influence. I think QL estimates are computed on a .308 4 groove rifling barrel if you don't get into its guts and change things.

I've recently came across some range tests that suggest neck tension has a significant influence on the burn rate and estimates. A .001-.002 change in tension changed the fps by ~40fps in the 22-250.

Aug 2009 , is when I bought mine . I don't know a quarter of what it does . I've been thinking of starting a thread for help on the BBL time . I think I'd like to explore this a little .

I could probably coach some of it, but Deweys really the ninja on those intricate sorta things. I'm still a little ham fisted with it.

I think I'll gather some info and start a new thread . maybe someone else needs , or wants , to learn this too . surely , kinda, maybe , I'm not the only one here that doesn't know this ? HA

Yeah.... I still check in on that thread regularly.

OBT and a well calibrated QuickLoad nailed my accuracy load in my 280 Ackley.... Nailed it... On the money.
