The propellent makers will answer questions through their customer service and FAQs.
For a short time, I owned a Browning Stainless Stalker in 300RUM with 26" barrel. After 800 rounds, I was still unable to work up a load that made shooting that blaster worthwhile. I sold the rifle and went back to 7mmRemMag and 30-06. The bit of advantage that I picked up using the 300RUM was just not worth the effort, given the recoil and lack of consistant groups with any propellent that I tried, and I tried them all. Be advised that the RUMs are barrel burners and as I figured out, by time you have worked up your load, the bore may have already suffered enough wear that the accuracy for which you are searching is already going south.
All of this is just my opinion, based on my experience with one 300RUM. Your mileage may vary with your 7mmRUM. I hope that you have luck with your 7RUM.
On another note: My first wife was from Oslo, Norway and I was able to have lots of good discussion with her father, regarding hunting in Scandinavia. He had hunted with the Laps in the north. I still carry the Puuko that he gave to me in 1961.

If you can get it try Retumbo. I shoot a 7 Ultra and can get 3400 from a 26 in. barrel using it. Accuracy is outstanding with a 160 AccuBond or 150 Ballistic Tip.

That is about normal max velocity for the 160 Accubonds. 94 gr of Retumbo gave me 3305 fps.....

94.0 grs of Retumbo is my load as well. Clocks 3375 - 3400 in my barrel with a 160 AccuBond and shoots minute of angle even way out there. Folks, I have used a lot of rifles and calibers over the years but this thing is the best long range killer I have ever gotten my hands on. Hits very hard with relatively low recoil. The 7mm Ultra probably won't make any lists of all time great calibers but it ought to.
