DrMike, I noticed on another post about the 7mm wsm with 168 ABLR. You ran quickload and norma 217 was in it. Could you run it for me with only norma 217 and reloader 33. I just got some in and want to try it in the 7wsm. Bullets are 150&168 ABLR. 26" barrel and 3.05" OAL. Thanks dan :mrgreen:

Thanks DrMike! My speeds are almost spot on with what quickload says. I really like norma 217 in the 7wsm, it's seems to be my best powder yet. I'm not sure on quickload saying that you run out of case though! My top load with the 150 ABLR is 77.0gr at 3266fps and my top load with the 168 ABLR is 74.0gr at 3093 fps. It is barely compressed but my loads are 3.05" oal and I use a drop tube. My top loads with RL33 are 150 ABLR 81.0 gr at 3210 fps and 168 ABLR 78.0gr at 3082 fps. These are severely compressed even through drop tube at my 3.05 oal! Quickload sure seems spot on thanks DrMike.

That's great info. Never tried Norma 217, so I may have to give it a look.
I saw the compression QL listed, but I guess when you stretch them out a little the compression tapers off a little. Those are very good speeds and right in line with what I am getting with the 168 ABLR's and RL25.

I've tried RL25 but I topped out at 70.0 gr at 3008 fps. Accuracy was good but norma 217 gave better accuracy and about 90 fps more. Plus my cases seem to last longer, I'm getting between 10-12 reloads at max! Got another 7wsm coming with 26" barrel should eek out about 60 fps more. More to come
Nice, that is some great performance for sure. I'll have to keep my eyes open for any Norma 217. Sounds like good stuff. I just recently grabbed a pound of MRP, as I haven't ever used it in the past. From what it sounds like though, it should match RL22.

No reason why N570 won't work. I've never used it as I have such good results with MagPro and N560 that I have had no particular urge to try N570.
