I just special order on in a savage and noticed that rifles in this chambering are getting hard to find, any one have any ideas why? Seems like a great round.

The 7mm WSM is a great round. I have one each of the WSMs (270, 7mm, 300 and 325), and the 7mm is my favourite. Each of the rifles shoot well and each have their own attractive points. Nevertheless, the 7mm WSM is the most fun to shoot and gives me the best ballistics. However, honesty compels me to admit that it does nothing that the 7mm RM doesn't do, and the 270 WSM captured the heart of shooters as the 27 is America's calibre. Also, it didn't help that Winchester was delayed in introducing the cartridge due to problems that could have occurred with interchanging ammuntion with with the 300 WSM or the 270 WSM. The 7mm WSM is a handloaders cartridge, but those who take time to work with the calibre will be rewarded handsomely.

.....................Of the WSMs, the 325 and the 7mm are not as popular as the 270 & 300 WSM`s.....If dealers notice that certain 7mm inventory, or others, aren`t selling as well, they will more than likely not re-order as much, or instead, do special orders in the slower moving calibers............

It is a great round. My absolute favorite from all the shorts. Why the lack of popularity I can not say.
