Anyone using it, and what do you think? I've been wanting to try it and lucked into two pounds of it today. Cost me $64 with tax but I haven't been able to find it anywhere locally. I'm thinking it might be worth trying in my 6x47 Rem as well as my .223's.

What else are you guys running it in besides .308 Win?

I use it in my 6.5 Grendel and like it. I have used it in my 22-250 also but it did not beat my other load I have made up.

204 and 223 is what I use it for. Good accuracy and great speeds. SDs are in the single digits.

I like it a lot for 200's in 35 Whelen, it has found a permanent home on the bench.

I use a fair amount of 8208XBR for a variety of cartridges. It really shines in the .308 with 165 grain pills. It is also an excellent powder in the Whelen as Gerry states.

Looks to have a very wide range of applications noted here, from small to large cartridges. Cool.

223 so far w 50 and 55 gr pills.
IMO it's terrific in that.

Well this is all good news, don't own any .308's but sounds like it might work in my .300 Savage. I've never found a good powder for that cartridge yet, but I've not spent a lot of time with it. Might try it in my new .338-06 but RL15 is putting the bullets right in there if I do my job. I'm still breaking in the barrel on that rifle but several sub MOA groups have already shown up. Might have to give it a go in my .358 Win when I get it up and running.

Just picked up a lb for my .223 & 6-250 and loaded some of the latter just last night. Gonna try it w/ 70 gr Speers for deer in the former. Looks like it'll meter nicely! Can't wait to see what it'll do w/ 80 gr Bergers in the 6, my most accurate rifle!

If you apply this 8208 XBR powder to cartridges which have the same approximate barrel to case expansion ratio, as defined in Powley's Computer (Google it), it should work great for any cartridge in that grouping!

It is a powder I have seen a little of and was entirely too slow to grab some of it when it was available. I won't be so slow to grab some up the next time I see it though. Everytime someone mentions it, they show some really small groups with it.

Just loaded a varity of 338 Feds with 200 gr and 210 gr bullets with the 8208 xbr maxed at 47.5 grs - we will see - i am expecting about 2650 fps with the 22 " barreled Tikka T3 . Would love to see a 3/8 " group such as gerrys with it !

Cheers :) RJ

Jim, if you get 2650 fps with the 210 Partition and this powder in the .338 Federal, I would like to know about it. I have never gotten more than 2560 fps!
