How do you gentleman think this powder would fair in a 6.5x47 Lapua?

I would say it would be decent for bullets under 120 gr judging from the data for the 6.5 Creedmore and 260 Rem. It would shine for youth loads in cartridges the size of the 6.5x47.

I am thinking the Lapua is one of them cases that'll burn anything pretty well... From the mildly fast to the mildly slow and still be pretty accurate. I am looking forward to seeing yours when it hits the streets. It is my favorite smaller 6.5. With a 264 in the safe, all I can think about is how much fun a small one would be to be able to shoot a little more with.

I'm thinking you need to build one Scotty! I'm looking forward to mine very much! I'm a little frustrated that the build is taking so long... I did talk to my smith today about it and he told me "you can't rush perfection." I guess I'll have to be patient a wee bit longer.

Yeah, I am thinking unless I buy a Cooper or something, a build would have to be in order. Between Jeff's early work with it, then Joel's, I am sold on it. Something about the smaller 6.5's is very cool to me. I love to shoot the 264, and I think having a smaller one would be the cat's pajama's. If I built one, I think it would be a Model 70, built to look similar to a little Featherweight with a 24" tube on it. Thinking it would do good duty as a deer rig as well. Got a couple other things to square away before I get to it, but it is burning. All of you Lapua guys don't make it easy on a guy though.

That would be a nice build for sure!
