A few More Birds

Excellent photos! Your 1.4x teleconverter works far better than mine. I've yet to get a photo I'm happy with while using it.

That red cardinal (I think) is one sharp looking bird! Don't have any of them around here in Chelan County, Washington.

Guy the Canon 1.4tc version 2 which is what I have is pretty sharp when paired with the Canon L series lens. The 1.4TC version 3 is supposed to be a little sharper that the v2 but I haven't found a reason to change. The 500 f4L is amazing and it's a v1 lens it is heavy though. They say the v2 of that lens is sharper, faster focusing and a little lighter but it's also about 2 grand more that I paid for the v1.

As for the cardinal we have a few around the house but over at the deer lease they are everywhere and some of the brightest red I've seen. I had planed to take the camera and sit in a blind after deer season but I never made it before they took the blinds up.

I see Cardinals all summer long!

They are nine guys on a baseball diamond. 🤣

Great pics!

I saw my first cardinal last May when Catherine and I went to Kentucky, Tennessee N. Carolina and Virginia. Cool bird.
Whoa, that would be weird to me to think of being somewhere where there aren't Cardinals. I see them every day all year long.

Also, very fun pics, I love birds! The clarity on that Cowbird is great!
