A really good day at the range...

Had a slow day at the range today. Only had 3 loads to work on between 2 rifles.

Started load development on the 325 WSM using 200gr Accubonds. Fourth load was a dandy. 62.5gr IMR4350 COAL 2.860 dropped into 0.632 CTC

Maybe I will mess with seating depth, or maybe I will just confirm the load.

Then I finished my 110gr AccuBond load in my 25-06. Its been a long haul with it shooting wild groups. Opened up the stock some to really freefloat the barrel and things came around. Finished up seating depth trials today and found 3.200 gave 0.783 and 3.195 gave 0.527. Not bad considering I started with 2 to 3 inch groups with this bullet.

Also worked on 115gr Ballistic Tips in the 25-06. Finished that load awhile ago. Just used them to verify my scope wasn't canted and ran a little trial to see how the barrel holds accuracy as I shoot. Fouled the barrel with them to start the day and shot 0.750. Then verified the scope with them. Then shot a group in the middle of and at the end of the AccuBond string. The last group opened up to 1.3 so I reshot it and got a 1.5. Looks like my barrel starts losing accuracy after around 30 rounds.

Looks to have been a gratifying range trip. The 325 WSM is providing you with some good data. The AccuBond will perform quite well for you, I have no doubt. Interestingly, in my own 325 WSM, I get better accuracy out of the 200 grain Partitions than I do with the 200 grain AccuBonds. Either will work well on game, however. Mine has accounted for several moose and elk.

Have to think about running the charge up on the 325. Nosler max load looked like I was getting close to another node. Didn't have any pressure signs at max so thinking I might try another half grain to see if there is another one. Not that I will need much more speed with a bullet like that. Hitting with a sledge hammer hurts regardless of the speed you hit with. I was glad the gun likes the ABs cause it is having fits with the 180gr BTips. Have 200gr Partitions on the shelf. May try them too.

Looks great to me. What is your 325 velocity with the 200 gr AB's

Nice shooting. Looks like you are set to go.
