Well I'll be darned. That is an interesting story.

Also, for years I thought cougars were always solitary predators. I've learned differently in recent years. Several times I've seen trail cam photos of cougars together, and have heard reports of pairs and even groups of them together.

I believe this is most often attributed to either mother & cubs, or sometimes nearly grown cubs that still stick together.

Well Guy I'll add to that. Last year my buddy shot a pair of cougars that had been stalking some mountain goats and we spooked them. They looked to be young ones though. so far my first and only time seeing a cougar in the wild.
