Nosler #6 shows 55gr's as the top charge for both RL19, and H4831.....
That just doesn't sound right to me. H4831 is a lot slower then RL19.

It depends on the cartridge and conditions. I prefer accubonds for the rifles which I feel require controlled expansion.

In most rifles they are pretty much equal but there is an area where the AccuBond excells, thats at extreme velocity impacts. If the H-Mantle of the partion ruptures penetration stops NOW.
My smith did a test and found that at impacts of around 3300 fps the Partition ruptured shooting into water.
I shoot 160 accubonds at almost 3600 fps, and in my LR hunting areas there is always the chance of a good shooter buck at 50 yards. I've yaken 18 deer with accubonds at ranges from 60-1350 yards and only had 1 not exit, that one hit an unseen limb and still shot through 2.5 feet of whitetail.

Would the results have been the same with the Partition? don't know, but I'll hang with that old saying "Dance with the one that brung ya"

I really dont think they are that different of a bullet in terms of how they perform.

They both expand readily easy and both only retain 60-70% of there original weight.

The only noticable difference I see is the AB has a plastic tip which has a lot better BC, which is nice for those of us who shoot longer ranges.

The AB will do anything the PT will do. 5-10% weight retentino isn't a big enough difference to amount to anything IMO.

I"d take the AB's anyday.

I must have fat fingered the 4 key.

Are my eyes deceiveing me.... or do Noslers cause very little fouling?

In my experience, it depends on the velocity. Fouling seems to increase over 3k.

I'm under 3K

In my 9 twist lilja 284 barrels I run BT's in one and accubonds in the other, at over 3500 fps and not very often will I get blue on a patch, thats cleaning every 30 rounds.
