I have never personally used the Accubonds, but I have shot several deer with 130gr Ballistic Tips out of my .270 Win.

The biggest exit hole I got was big enough that I could stick both of my fists in it!!

wow that is big. what range was the impact @ to produce that hole? I like accubonds as i think they are stouter than than the BT's but under most circumstances when NOT using magnums @ short ranges, the BT's work well. For the minute difference in money, I'll go with an AccuBond on whitetails but varmints get BTs

That exit looks about right to me. A little under golf ball from what I can tell. At least I like it.

Thats not toooo bad. My 338 with 225gr AB's did a bigger hole,(Obviously)But I don't NEED all that rib meat anyway...Do I? Seriously,I had an exit hole in my bull elk last year that I could literaly put my fist through. The one doe I hit with it just needed a good shake to finish field dressing.I'm looking for a smaller rifle for deer now!

Just perfect.
Comparative to what I have seen with my kills.

That shot was at about 80 yards shatered the left shoulder and all but two ribs on the off side.

I am currently trying Barnes TSX for deer but so far I can't see any differance in them and BT's. 8)

Looks about perfect to me.
And I'd bet the deer didn't go far either.

Thats the way I like it. Quick clean kill with lots of damage in the vitals. I posted a similar pic taken from a bull elk shot with a 300 RUM with 200gr ACCUBONDS. Most of the time, you only have 1 shot opportunity-so you make it count, and with damage like the Accubonds do, the animal wont go far.

i shot another der last night. the exit "area" on the offside shoulder was explosive. last time, i didnt hit shoulder , this time i did and it was more explosive but it dropped it like nobody's business. i like these bullets
