The 250gr Accubonds are really shooting good in my 340Wby if I keep them somewhere between 2800 and 2900fps. The target below is .990" at 200yds.

Also I have finally gotten use to the trigger on my S&W AR-15. Below is a 20 round group at 100yds.

250gr AccuBond, 77.7grs of H4350, 215 Fed primers - 200yds group size .990"

20 round group out of my S&W AR-15 at 100yds, Brown Bear 55gr HP ammo averaging 2907fps out of my 16" barrel.

Nice shooting Mike!

This can all be much better. I had two bullets touching at 200yds and threw the third one and that really made me mad at myself. I think I could have done a better job shooting the AR, but I shot it after shooting the 340Wby :)

Good to see more trigger time for the AR, but wow are you going to have fun at the reloading bench shortly.......

Yes, I will have fun but need to order the reloading stuff for the AR, I haven't done that yet.

I woulb be happy with the 340........great for 98% of any big game shooting.

I am happy with my 340Wby, it is one fine cartridge, and it is my DRT rifle - but the AR is for fun real cheap and much easier to move through a thicket to set up for a quick shot on a called in coyote. :)

Great shooting Mike, that 340 looks really deadly. 2800-2900 with a 250gr AccuBond seems excellent to me. With a .575BC it will shoot really flat probably shoot through about anything. Wow.

The AR seems like it is coming along. You will probably get some really good accuracy out of it with some decently tailored loads. Scotty

Yep, beretzs, things are coming a long fairly good. Still a lot of load work to do before I am satisfied with the 340Wby and especially the AR

What are your plans for the AR? Any specific bullet you are looking at trying? Scotty

Don't know at the moment. I have other fish to fry before I spend time an money on load work for the AR. :)
