...accurate rifles...

Wow that is impressive. For me personally the rifles they use take too much of the human involvement out of it.

I have on a couple of occasions shot 0.1 inch groups, and once shot a 0.05 inch group. Two of the rifles shot an honest 0.15 inch group consistently. None of those rifles were mine, and they did that with specific ammunition crafted for them. I'm thrilled when I have a rifle that shoots 0.5 inches consistently.

I've shot a few screamer (.0XX) groups in the past and a lot in the .1XX's but that is pretty cool. I've been wanting to try a stepped throat for awhile as you get a pretty good velocity gain from it as well. Its basically the same thing as Defensive Edge does with their +P.

I have several rifles that will consistently shoot one hole, one shot groups that well. [emoji6]

I have been blessed as I am quite sure that all three of my rifle will shoot a consistent 0.5 moa when I do my part. My RMR 35 Whelen did it without to much effort & my 280AI is real close to doing it. I believe with a little bench time it will be right there.
With bench practice It just give us confidence we really don't need .5 to be successful.

Blessings,
Dan

Yup- impressive for sure. Not at all familiar with the rail gun, but looks like a game of reloading and reading the wind... CL

Me to, I have two right now that will do it consistently. Several that hover around .75 which is plenty good enough for my needs.

Amen to that Bill.

Mine seem to hover around .75 as well, but the FNSPR in .308 is a honest to goodness 1/3 -1/4 inch rifle.

I have several that deliver 0.75-0.5 MOA. Each takes game with boring consistency. I do enjoy shooting them.

This game is all about building the most consistent ammo possible and finding a wind condition where they can shoot 5 shots a quickly as possible. They shoot light bullets with flat bases in the short distance events (100-200 yards). Barrels will have much slower twists than are found in the long distance disciplines where longer bullets with high BC's are used. There is still a human factor involved, but it is more about component building and wind reading.

Most of us on the Nosler forum will never need to have rifles capable of shooting these kind of groups, but it is fun to have a target like this to put in your wallet for bragging purposes.

I'd put one like that in my wallet but I couldn't get the powder burns off!

(Just kidding, by the way)
