I have seen exotic game hunts advertised in Texas. Anyone have experiences good or bad, to share regarding any of those hunts?

Yes I do. I have been on an Exotic game ranch since 1998. The owner guides hunts on the place. Our ranch is 5000 acres. There are Axis, Sika, Elk, Fallow, Blackbuck, Eland, Mouflon, Barborosa, Corsican & , of course, Whitetail. Prices range from $1500 to $350. I pay $2100 for an annual lease agreement. I get to shoot many animals for free. Our particular lease has at least a dozen Axis bucks yearly that go over 34". Ther are many ranches in the area in Texas known as The Texas Hill Country. From I-10 @ Mountain Home to Rocksprings runs Hwy 41, 60+ miles of nothing but Exotic game ranches on bothe sides of the road. Mixed in there are the Y.O. ranch, Texas' oldest operative cattle ranch & Thunder Ranch, world renowned mercenary & military training facility. Our facility is abutted by the Budweiser Ranch replete with airstrip.

Other ranches in the area have Red Stag, Oryx, Gemsbok, Reebok, Antelope of several species and just about anything you could imagine as well as those mentioned above. Auodad, Black Hawaiian Rams, Huge Russian Boars, feral pigs and the closer you get to South Texas you'll see world class Whitetails.

Some of these places you gotta watch out for but most are very reputable. I'd say at least 90% are above the grade curve.

What else would you like to know? If you are interested, I can give you a number of a couple of guides that know their stuff.
