American Goldfinch & Fawn

While walking yesterday I had an opportunity to see and photograph our state bird, the American goldfinch. It had been a while since I'd photographed one. This little rascal was quite aware of my presence, but intent on eating more of what he apparently thought was delicious little twigs... Okay then! I just stood back and adjusted my lens to capture his image. This is likely the best shot of them:

Also observed mama mule deer and her fawn for a time:
