if a person uses a 300win mag case as the base for a 180gr etip rifle. total over all length , to maximize powder capacity would need to be in the 3.70" area with a very deep throat, approx .420". then a barrel twist of around 1 in 8.5" seems about right. i'm sure someone has built such a rifle on a weatherby or hh length action. i'm wondering if anyone here has heard of such a beast

A 1:10 twist will stabilize the 180 gr E Tips. Your OAL will be governed by the magazine. You can also go with a Wyatt box to increase your magazine length.

can you run that with h1000 with standard length and the 3.70" i would like to see what pressure a etip test i have loaded, for the next time the sun comes out. it is an under book max load for Partition length bullets, but the etip is at max compression. now i'm wondering if i should shoot the 3
