This is great. If you shoot downwind you can pick up 50 FPS velocity on all your rifles.

Pop,
68-degrees and sunny here today. Heck we have mowed the grass 3-4 times already!!!!!

Scotty- I havn't got one figured out yet. I tried 71, and 72 grs. They didn't do to well. I had 73, and 74 loaded up but a gust of wind blew my box (20 round box with 12 rounds in it) off the bench and mixed the 73, and 74 gr loads. I shot them all at the same target and got the chrony data, but I'm not sure what holes are from what loads. I have an idea, and if I'm right they are shooting better the higher the load. I have 75, and 76 loaded up now to try tomorrow. 74 was getting me right around 2813. Both Ramshot, and QL give a max speed of 2880ish so I should be good. Really excited to try the 225 AB in the edge tomorow. I have seen some posted speeds on LRH of 3300  for the 225 AB out of a 28" edge. I'll start my own thread tomorrow if I can shoot and quit hijacking POPs  .

Kendog- Yes. We have two contractors plus our own track hoe. Should get all eight miles installed in about a months time. You should have seen the look on the face of the Trans Canadian Gas line guy when he found out I have only been running a track hoe for three days, and here I was about to dig over a 48" and 36" high PSI gass line!

Forcast calls for 10 MPH tomorrow, and a bit warmer. Should be a good day.

That sounds like a pretty good load Jake. Anything over 2800 with good accuracy would be excellent. I am looking forward to working with my 338WM and the 250gr PT's. I think I am going to do it up in a new stock and some new mounts and rings. Wanna really bullet proof it and make it my all around everything rifle. Scotty

Pop,
I understand what your weather is like after living in Loveland Colorado for 10-years. I have been to
Wyoming many times during those years. There is no wind in the world that compares to what Wyoming experiences, then add snow going horizontal with 0-visibility to boot!!!!

Well not as nice as yesterday- but I had time today and it wasnt to bad 20 Mph gusts but close to 50 degrees. First time since November. As I am packing for the range I realize that my membership (i.e. combination to the gate) expired on the 31st......!!!!      Now ti wil be at least three weeks before I'lll have a chance to pull a trigger. I HATE living in town!!! Period. CL

I did a lot of dry firing when I lived in town. Not as fun but gives a guy a great feel for his trigger.

Wow! I thought we had it bad her in Southern California. We have to cancel our 1K shoot last Saturday due to a 15 MPH wind and a fog moving in. This is the second month in a row now that it happened. At least we were still be able to practice shooting steel plates at 600 yards.

Here's some pictures.
