Dropped this boy about a week ago in eastern WA. He was 270 yards away when the AB put his lights out before he hit the ground.

My load was 77 grains of 760 behind the 338/180 AccuBond for 3,200 fps.

Here is a damage photo.

That's awesome!!!!!!
I am a firm believer in the 180 ab with my 338 now. I do want to experiment with the 225's.

It looks likes he has not been out of velvet for very long in the photo, is that correct?

Shooter,

I use both 180 and 225 AB's in my 338.

I shoot the 180s at just about 3,200 and the 225s at just about 2,900.
They shoot exactly vertical with the 225s shooting dead on at 100 yards and the 180s are 3" high at 100 with a 300 yard zero. When I take the 338 and 225's for elk I give it ten clicks up and the 225s are at a 250 yard zero.
Both loads are sub MOA.

My 225 Load consit of 73 grains of N160

It was still in velvet, but then there were no trees around for him to rub.
