Went to the range late afternoon today hoping to use the 500 yard range but no luck. 12 other people have the same idea. So off to the 250 yards.

Well I was able to lobbed a couple of 140 Berger downrange. Here's some picture.

Looking at the target downrange

A view through Vortex Viper lens at 14 power. As much as I like thickness of the reticle for my aging eye, It's lousy as a target reticle for shooting groups

Here's the first seven shot zeroing at 250. The wind was howling at 11 MPH. The temperature hovers around 56, with windchill at 40.
The rifle always shot low from a clean barrel. The next five shot on top was after zeroing the rifle.

Last four shot after cleaning the barrel. The fouling shot on the bottom and the 3 shot above it. The rifle is very consistent throughout.

You said it... very consistant! Great job.

Hopefully the next trip out you can stretch her legs out and see what it does @ 500.

Yep Mark! Not bad for a pencil thin barrel. The weight is just perfect. Tired of carrying those heavy barreled boomer. I'm not a young stud anymore. Between the 6.5 and the 300 Weatherby Accumark, I think I got myself covered.

Great shooting! Looks like you have a great range to go shooting at.

We do Corbin... although it's getting crowdy lately due to the closing of another range nearby. It was nice a few years back when there's only about 900 of us. Now where over 1500 maybe, not counting the partial member. I'm going to start looking for a place in the desert here pretty soon so that I can practice long range again with my LR rifle. Kalifornia is getting worse.
