Atlas V8 bipod

No, there's no way I'm catching him. I don't have that much to say (though I'm trying!).

Kurt, I figure by the time you start working up loads for all those rifles you have, that'll be worth at least 2000 posts!

It's all about thread count now? Thought it was about good stories and opinions on gear? Oh! I just got another one on my thread count

You guys gotta watch Brian, he is a sleeper.. Just when you aren't thinking of him, he'll strike!

Like right now! The Black Mamba strikes and gets another one

There are antidotes for this, Brian, er, Black Mamba (or was that black mambo?).

Just wondering........Is there a frequent poster discount at SPS  . You guys are definately qualified.

Scott

Come join in the fun, Scott. Consequently, there is no discount on this side of the border. Hmmmm. That could serve as inducement to move south.

Do it, Mike! The Portland area definitely needs another man of God. (And I need a shooting/reloading mentor! :) )

What's the discount on frequent postings, Kurt? Just a couple of questions. How's the moose hunting? Can I travel for less than an hour and see goats, sheep and caribou? What is the grizzly hunting like? I did fish Oregon many years ago, but I never hunted there.

Oops... probably not gonna see moose, and the sheep are gonna take a two hour drive, the goats about six. But the Nosler factory/SPS is only three hours away, and no sales tax... white sturgeon to catch (and release), chinook and silver salmon, steelhead, a ton of walleye, smallmouth bass close, largemouth a little further away, shad are about to start running, lots of different kinds of trout in the hills.

Damn, I'm making myself homesick.

Best part: no one is constantly checking your hearing, eh?

Mike,
I live 30 minutes from Kurt and I can hunt deer 150yds from my door, elk country is twenty minutes and black bear not much more than that. Like Kurt said sheep and goats are few hours away if you have the once in a life tag! I fish in the Molalla river ,that's across the street, for salmon, trout and steelhead and even pan for a little gold. No caribou or grizzlies and the nearest huntable moose are in Idaho. If you feel the urge to move move south this area would treat you right and I'd love to have you in the neighborhood. 8)
Scott

Ah, I'm pulling Kurt's leg. I've lived here so long that I talk funny. However, I might need to come down for a visit just to fish some of Oregon's fine rivers. My last trip down there was to fish the Santiam River. I caught a fine buck steelhead there. My host insisted there were no steelhead in the system at the time, but the one I brought to hand was bright and in excellent shape.

That's OK, Mike, most people I've run into from Molalla talk funny, too!

Just kidding, Scott!

  Kurt, I think that might be related to the family trees around here...... they resemble a telephone pole by some accounts:shock:. When I take off into the hills around here I can almost hear the banjo tune from "Deliverance".

Scott

Jeff Foxworthy joke about Molalla:

"If your family tree does not fork... you might be from Molalla..."

We here in Molalla look on Colton the same way. Then I'm sure the Coltons look upon the Estacadaens the same way......not sure who the Estacadaens look to be their brunt of all jokes.
Scott

Portlanders?

Although when a town gets some of the nicknames that Estacada has, maybe they can't look down on anybody.

Cheater. (+1 for me!)

You did that on purpose, Kurt. (Add another post for me. )

This post is just because I'm shamelessly trying to get to 3k. I don't think I'm going to make it tonight, though.
