Australian Buffalo Hunt Video

Well worth watching! It features a hunt by several guys way out in the middle of nowhere, Australia. Crocs. Wild boar. And of course... Buffalo!

They put a .375 Sako "Brown Bear" rifle and Hornady ammo to work, as well as a compound bow!

Very labor-intensive hunt. Move into the area, up early, out on foot looking, glassing. When one is found, the stalk is on. Make the shot happen and keep shooting until the animal is down! Then the arduous pack out...

I was impressed with how hard the hunters worked.

Reminded me a lot of the way we hunt bears here. Move into the area. Glass. Find a bear, move in on him. Shoot until they're down. Then the rough hike out, back to the truck.. Very similar.

Excellent account of a rigorous hunt. The bull taken with stick and string was pretty good, but relatively easy compared to the stalk on the two taken by rifle. Great video of hunting Australian style. I can see how this would appeal to anyone interested in a demanding hunt.
