Barrel..SS, Heavy, Black, where to buy?

Exactly what it says. Any tips on where to get a stainless heavy barrel and with a matte black finish?

This is for a certain project I have going on.

26"-28" in length

It's not likely your going to get a precoated barrel before the gunsmithing is done. Most gunsmith wouldn't want to risk scratching it prior to the smithing.

Well I'm not looking for just blank steel. I need it chambered, cut, etc. Someone out there will sell this ready to install. Who is the question. Atleast I hope there is someone.

I have a device that allows me to take off or install barrels.

Usually you can buy pre-chamber, short chambered, or long chambered barrels but they still need to be fitted by a gunsmith to get the head space correct. Pac Nor sells pre chambered barrels but I'm not sure if they coat them. Not every action and bolt is exactly the same so the head space wont be the same for every barrel.

Just install your new stainless barrel, then send the whole thing out to be coated.

Or be cheap like me and spray paint it...

This is probably a good time to mention this, has anyone tried the do it yourself Cerakote?

I haven't tried Cerakote myself but I do know that the prep is the key with it.
