Berger VLD Question

I'm in the " never on game again camp " when it comes to Berger bullets.

After blowing a 2 inch wide patch of hair off an Auodad's chest with my 264 at 150 yards and then shooting another one that ran 75 yards into damn near impenetrable brush and leaving no blood trail, I'm done.

Creedmore had similar results on whitetails with the 115 VLD hunting out of a 25-06.
Great bullets for poking holes in paper, but I'll stick with Nosler's for filling tags

Just like you folks I've read good and bad. It makes sense that it would have to come apart quick for a long range shot to the heart/lung area. My elk won't give me dependable standing profile shots at any range. Soooo I'm trying the AccuBond Long Range in my 7 RUM this year and hoping the bonding gives me a little more control.
It is kind of scary still. So the 300 RUM with 200gr Accubonds will also be along as my security blanket.
