Not really a recipe, just of a picture of my berry's we picked tonight. I picked about 5 quarts of greenhouse strawberry's, 2 quarts of black raspberry's and 12 quarts of blueberry's. My sister got half of the blues since she helped pick them. The rest my wife will make into jam/jelly if I don't eat them all first on ice cream.

Very nice, I just showed my wife all those berries and she was quite impressed. Hope you enjoy them all winter long at least the ones that don't get devoured in the next few days :)

One of the great delights of summer--berries. I've laid down in mountain blueberry patches on occasion and dared the bears to invade. I'd eat until the earth looked flat. Fine dining, for sure. Mama's strawberries are always a summer delight. Anticipation of jams and jellies just makes the result sweeter still.

If you grew all those, congratulations on a very green thumb... That is until you turn it red, blue or black while pickin ;-). Nice job, enjoy

I guess you could say I have a green thumb, because I work in our family greenhouse. The growing end is almost second nature to me. I actually tried the strawberry's last year and was still picking them at Christmas with minimal heat in the greenhouse. The variety's I use are ever-bearing, they don't get a lot of fruit per plant, just a small amount often. I have about 150 of them growing in hanging baskets. Between me and my Dad we have about 175 blueberry bushes and I also have 24 black raspberry bushes. It's a lot of work, but it teaches our kids where fruit comes from, plus it sure beats buying them.

That is super neat. I'm sure your children will appreciate the education one day. Perhaps the heritage will be passed on. Great job on your part.

I love homemade jam. Every couple of years we'll make ours. Usually the same kinds as you've got there.
