Anybody tried Blackhorn 209 while hunting this year :?: I have. It is everything they claim it to be :!: 2 weeks before hunting season I sighted in my T/C encore using 90 gr. BH209, Fed. 209A shotgun primers and Precision Rifle 260 gr. Dead Centre bullets. Unfortunately, I got the stuff too late to really work it out, but this combo is capable of consistant 1" groups, if I behave myself. I did not clean the barrel until the end of deer season; no more crud ring and no more wet breech plug :x I took a beautiful 4x5 buck & a huge doe on my antlerless tag. I know that up here some guys were leary about trying a new powder. They didn't realize that spit patching between shots, crud rings and stuck breech plugs would be a thing of the past. If you have not tried it, I highly recommend it

I've been using BH209 for awhile now. It is everything they claim and maybe even more. Low smoke, low odor, does not appear to build up in the bore, no crud ring, non corrosive, non binding AND is very consistent and accurate.

I gave away my JSG, 777, & 777 pellets. Despite the high price of BH209, this stuff is by far the most advanced and best black powder substitute out there.
