Somehow the big bores keep finding a way to my house. Today i got a beautiful Ruger # 1 chambered for the 458 Lott. I touched off 1 round an believe me it is an awesome display of power on gallon milk jugs filled with water. The wild tom cats, possums and killer rabbits that roam in my pasture had better take notice that i prepared to deal with them.
Hey, i think I'm going to like this caliber and i heard that its very popular, at least 4 out of 5 dentists recommend it.
My Ruger # 1 in 416 Remington mag should be here tomorrow.
Ain't life great.

Yup the Lott is fun

Try H4198 and the 350 X at 2800 fps... Simulates a 30-06 trajectory.

Congratulations on your 458 Lott.
As I have always said, there's no replacement for displacement.

Actually that's Noslers line that they used on page 562 in the Nosler # 6 Reloading Guide describing the 416 Weatherby Mag. It describes other cartridge 's also.

They are fun....for sure.

Especially 457 cal lead balls at 1200 fps with Unique. That is fun!!!!!!!!!!!

It does simulate a 30-06 trajectory with those 350 TSXs and it's suprisingly accurate. I carried it for bear on my X-12 hunt in California. It's one of those fun toys I have that I can't realy justify but it's a blast to shoot (literaly) That 416 sounds like fun  Did you get the stainless laminates?
Good Hunting

................Did a trajectory check on a ballistics calculator. Yes it does!

The .458 350 gr. Barnes TSX @ 2800 fps, does almost match the trajectory of the `06 200 gr. A/B @ 2600 fps out to 300 yards with a 100 yard zero.
