Big tree

Took a hike up between Starky, and Ukia, Oregon today. Found one of the largest Larch trees on record.

Man that's a biggun. I'm like Dr Mike..........what I was always told was Larch trees were smaller spindly things. Had decent height but overall not large trees compared to similar age of other trees. Maybe I was being given wrong information.

That is a big tree for sure! Thanks for sharing that.

Yes, there's a stand/grove of western larch up above town here in central Washington that are big - I don't think they're that massive though. I enjoy seeing them, and I worry about them a bit during "fire season." So far, they've managed to survive & thrive.
