Black Dot

is Alliant's new BP substitute. Talking to the Mag Kor guys at SHOT I learned that their BlackMag XP will be sold by Alliant under the Black Dot name. The distribution arrangement was only recently signed, which should help big time in making BlackMag XP available.

I shot some of the BlackMag XP last week, and it is extremely clean burning, almost no residue at all. I asked Alliant when they would have Black Dot in their pipeline, but no answer yet...jim

I have shot it now in my .500 inline and my .451 side hammer, works well with #11 caps and cleans up with one patch (not much residue).

I got an email this morning from Alliant and they are working with the DOT now on shipping approval, they expect summer availability of Black Dot. Meanwhile you can buy BlackMag XP from MagKor.
