blue dot and 44 mag

So what is everyone using for Blue Dot loads?

I loaded 15.0 grains under a 240 hornady xtp and got 1297 fps out of my 6.5 inch model 29 S&W with an ES of 29 for a 6 shot group.

someone please give me some data for blue dot and 44 mag.

i have most of the books, so i would rather hear what people are actually using for loads in the real world not just what the book says etc.

i would pefer max hunting loads

OK then!
I always used 14 gr of BD with the xtp.
Every other load I used in the 44 was with H110 or 296.

thank you POP, do you know what velocity you are getting? I just recived 1000 240 xtp's with the free bullet offer and am looking to work up a good whitetail load that won't blow up my pre-29 smith. what velocity do you recommend min for good expansion on game?

In my Anaconda I was getting 1397 average.

I have never used Blue Dot in the 44 Mag, always H110 or AA #9 with the preference on H110. Excellent accuracy and velocity.

I like BlueDot for upper midrange loads, to 1300fps or so, but for max. vel. go w/ H110 or W296.
