I ordered some Deaton's Gun Care Bore cleaner http://www.deatonsguncare.com/

I have used a lot of bore cleaners in my life trying to get the carbon out so I can get to the copper and usually I have to use a cleaner for the carbon and one for the copper. I decided to go through and clean all of my main hunting rifles and was I not only surprised but very impressed.

What impressed me the most was one of my hunting rifles has been used for 5 years. This rifle was not cleaned during or after sight in work and the hunting season, but at the end of each season. I cleaned this rifle after I shot it at the range not long ago. I used it with a major and popular carbon cleaner then with a popular copper remover and for extra measure I then finally used a foam cleaner and let it set in the barrel for 40 minutes, thinking that I got all the carbon and copper out of the barrel!!! Wrong!!!!

When I got the Deaton's Gun Care product, I decided to clean it again and see how well my previous cleaning did with the three products I had used to clean the rifle after the last range session. Now was I ever surprised at how dirty my bore was. I found myself going through four separate layers of carbon and four layers of copper to finally get it clean. The first layer of carbon would come off then came a layer of copper and as I said I thought, well it is clean this time for sure. Wrong!!! I wanted to make sure so I continued and this happened four times.

First the layer of carbon then more copper. Finally I got down to the last layer of copper and the wet patches with the Deaton's bore cleaner started coming out clean and so I wiped it down with a few dry patches and they came out clean. You see, I thought the rifle was a clean rifle but the Deaton's bore cleaner proved that it was far from clean.

My groups should really improve now even over the fairly good hunting accuracy I was experiencing before I used Deaton's Gun Care. I will let you know how the groups do because with this rifle I am fixing to go through a major load work. Mike Price

Bullet, a few year back I had a similar experience when I got my Outers, Foul out...WOW...Many of my groups shrunk by 1/2 or more.

Yes, nothing like having a good cleaner for the bore.
