What is a Browing BLR worth? It is about 3 years old, has the pistol grip stock, chambered in .308 WIN and has only had 44 rounds down the tube. Basically it is like new.

Can't say what they are bringing down in the States, but in fine shape, here in Canada they are only slightly less than a new BLR. Chambered in .308, they are somewhat more common than other chamberings. Were it chambered in .358, it would command a higher price. I've seen them as cheap as $600 and as much as $800, depending on chambering when they were fired little and unmarred.

I paid about 725.00 brand new for my 358 BLR back in 2006. I am seeing them go for 825.00 or so on Gun Broker.

I would think used would be worth 650-700 today in a 308. They are really some nice lever rifles. Should someone figure out how to dress the trigger up on them, I would probably look to have more of them!

It only requires a bit of chamber work to transform a .308 into a .338 Federal, Bob.

Wish they would make a 338 Fed version.

I bet if you were to try one of the 358's you'd forget all about that danged Federal!

Loaded with 225's at around 2400, it is a hammer. I bet it would make a lasting impression on them pesky hogs!

I have a 358 Win BLR and i would sooner have it in 338 Fed - 35 cals just don't do it for me ! Much better bullets in 338 cal i think ! :) LOL RJ

QFT - I have serious itch concerning hogs and my BLR.

I was at Cabela's in Kansas City, Kansas, yesterday and saw 2. One was a stainless laminated 300WSM ($1195) and the other was a straight grip blue/walnut 308 ($999). Neither was mangled horribly but both were far from pristine.
