Drew a mule deet buck tag this year so getting the 270 out of the safe. Have not shot in several years and going to work up some new loads. I was given a couple of boxes of 130 ballistic tips( have shot 130 gr silvertips in the past with good results ) and thinking about trying. Just curious how much difference between these 2 bullets there is and if I should maybe just stick with the st's. Thanks, Tim

I can not tell the difference. My boy shoots a 270 and I load the 130 BT's with H4831. 3000 fps and instant death on everything.

badland,

The Nosler BT and the Winchester CT Ballistic Silver Tip are the same bullet. The difference is Nosler makes the BT with the Gray polycarbonate tip and then Winchester adds their Lubalox coating.
