go to http://www.biggameinfo.com/ and click on ballistics calculator this will help you figure it outy, you will need the BC of your bullet.

I have mine sighted in at 3.5 inches high which gives me 0 at 300 . -8 at 400. -25 at 500.

I am pushing mine to 3050 fps

You need to go to a slower powder. You should be getting over 3000fps with that bullet. Check the back of the Nosler manual for the ballistic chart. The bullet BC will be in the loads section.Rick.

Plus one for the site listed above.... I have found it be be very accurate. I love that it tells you Clicks for Elevation and Wind. Once i get access to a chrono i need to make sheets for all my rifles and tape them to my stocks.

That is what I use too. It is a great program but make sure you verify the drop and come ups at actual shooting distances you plan to shoot.

I was going to mention it yesterday but lost that thought (oldtimers). You can probably safely push that bullet faster than what you are loading it to now. Mine loves H-4350 and it shoots best with full loads. I know that others use H-1000 (I think to slow) and some of the RL powders. After hunting season is over try some 4350 and start about 67 and work up from there. I have been using that load with 180 PT for hunting and its never let me down. I load them as long as possible to still work in the magazine.

Try RL22 and or H4831 with the 300 Winnie and 180 gr bullets
