do any of you use bullet & primer sealer. I bought some Markron but don't know if it's really needed. I store my ammo in MTM cases but what about hunting in the rain, snow, freezing rain??? Anyone ever have a problem not gong bang from non sealed ammo

I've never used sealers and I've never had a problem. I doubt that the sealers hurt anything, but it is difficult to believe that they are necessary. If the seal on the primer pocket fails to exclude water, it certainly is not going to maintain pressure when the cartridge is fired. Likewise, if the friction that holds the bullet in the neck does not exclude water, it is not going to permit pressure to build sufficiently to seal the case against the chamber.

ame here, never used them and never had a problem.

I have never used it either but I do have an old(I mean OLD!) friend who owns a gun shop here in the area, and his method of reloading(when he reloaded) required the use of some type of varnish like gasket sealer....... Indian head cement or something. he said he would coat the base of the bullet before pressing it into the case. but he also used some sort of cotton type filler between the bullet and powder too.
I really wouldn't worry about it. if its that wet where you hunt, maybe you need a spear gun and scuba gear instead.

Agreed...Unless that ammo will spend prolonged periods of time in a moisture rich environment, skip that step.

By the way... a lot of guys, I heard, that seal bullets/primers use clear nail polish.

Never used it and I have hunted in lots of rain/snow etc. I shot ammo 2 weeks ago that I loaded in the 1980's and all preformed as they should. They were stored in an old shotgun reloading shotbag in an open coffe can. I would not worry about it unless it is for a bang-stick(for scuba diving shark protection/hunting). Then we sealed them with nail polish
